In My Mailbox (40) + Vlog

Whaddup, you guys! We have another lovely weekend ahead of us. Today you will find an abnormally long vlog before you, but that's because I WENT TO A FREAKING SIGNING LAST WEEK. So make sure you pay attention to my reactions and laugh at them. They weren't meant to be for your entertainment, but why waste a good opportunity, right? Also, I'll be heading in today to see THE HUNGER GAMES. Don't know why I caps-locked it when I HAVEN'T READ THE BOOKS. Forgive me, Brodie, but I promise you, I will read them soon. Really. OH, and don't forget to link up to The Story Siren so that others can visit your IMM posts! Don't be shy about leaving comments either. I'd love to see what you got!

Envy!! There isn't much signings done here in my country. I'm so far away from the authors.... *breaks down*

Anyway, I love Unearthly!! It's a great book in my opinion! A little different from the other Angel books that I've read. I think you share similar view with me on this. *checks your review again* Probably. Haha!

I also have a copy of The Fine Art of Truth or Dare. The storyline caught my attention but I haven't got a chance to read it yet. Looking forward to reading your review on that!

Happy reading!

My IMM for the week.

Why, thank you. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. Just you wait, you'll be attending a book signing and then you'll see how amazing it is. Don't envy my books, BUY THEM. You will love all of them, because I just about read every single one. :D

Asher_Knight said...

HEHE. THANK YOU, NEA <333 I'm so happy to have signed books. Before the signing I didn't have very many in my collection.

TOTALLY SENT IT TO YOU ALREADY. I can't leave a fan hanging like that :D

*shies away* I'M SORRY. I've just been so busy that I haven't found the time. But the movie MADE ME BAWL.

And Happy Easter to you as well :DD

Asher_Knight said...

Thank you, Grace! I'm glad you thought so :D

Asher_Knight said...

OH, YEAH. The books are just astonishly wonderful this week. I feel so blessed and lucky and happy :D I can't wait to read Shift!

Asher_Knight said...

YAY, like I said we're IMM twins this week. HOW BEHIND are we talking here, Christy? *twitches* YOU MUST GET CAUGHT UP ASAP. And thanks, I most certainly will :D

Asher_Knight said...

*laughs hysterically* *whimpers* I'M SOOOORRRY. I will read it. I promise. Soon. Or eventually. Whichever comes first. I KNOW. I'm terrible. I will try to read The Hunger Games and Chamber of Secrets as quickly as possible. It's not my fault, don't break down. It's... It's... the times. School, reading other cool stuff, all the pressure. AHHHH. I'm sorry!!!

TIGER LILY I can tell you is more than likely going to be DA BOMB, yo. I read a chapter and I was all, THIS IS AMAZEBALLS :O And word. I got Shadow and Bone twice. I was very smiley for a few days straight. And I'll be reviewing Shadow and Bone next month, so the wait won't be too bad ;)

YOU HAVEN'T READ MORGANVILLE?!? And you yell at me and threaten ME with guns?!??? YOU HAVE TO READ THEM. YOU WILL LOVE THE REST. YOU HAVE TO. I DEMAND IT.

Zach is apparently hiding MUCH under that kilt, I assure you. *saucy wink*

I know right? I thought I had to lift a few weights but NEVER MIND. I can carry books and that is ALL the skillz I need! *flexes* AND YOU SQUEED MORE THAN ADEQUATELY OVER THERE :DDD

Asher_Knight said...

Thankies, Elena!! Tiger Lily has me frothing at the mouth, it looks so wonderful. And the first chapter, take it from me, had me hooked and sunk :D And Shadow and Bone is SO getting read this week! I need to know what all the hoopla is about.

Asher_Knight said...

Unearthly is delicious, and the sequel EVEN BETTER. The Catastrophic History of You and Me... I can't tell you how glad I am to be in possession of this book. It was so bloodfy fabulous. And Tiger Lily is already so good. I'm going to read it this week and I CAN'T WAIT.

Harleybearbookblog said...

I love your moment of silence for Black Dawn.  I really want to read it after hearing everyone talk about it.  I'm going to Books of Wonder for the signing next weekend.  Are you going?  You got a lot of great books.  Here's what I got.  My IMM Post

Asher_Knight said...

OH NO. There has to be SOME signings there. You wouldn't believe where some authors get to go. DON'T BREAK DOWN. :D

Exactly. i love the differentness to the series and I can't wait to see where Hand takes the series after Hallowed. I'm GETTING REALLY TICKED OFF at what Hand is trying to do and I'll be damned if I sit by and let Tucker lose :K

I can't wait to see what I think of it. It looks cutesy and fun so I'm excited!

Asher_Knight said...

I KNOW. I have to read so many MORE books now, but I'm certainly not complaining. In fact, I'M SO EXCITED.

Asher_Knight said...

She really is. I totally thought she was going to snub me because SHE IS TOO COOL FOR ME. But, no, she was the picture of friendliness, and I had so much fun hanging with her.

I EFFING LOVED THE NEAR WITCH. So good! And Tiger Lily... I'm reading it this week and that's that.

It's okay. I did it maybe a few days before you. XD

Asher_Knight said...

I TOTALLY TWEETED YOU THAT YOUR HEART IS SAFE in regards to Shane's well-being. Otherwise, if it weren't true, I wouldn't be able to 'stand' before you. And I can't WAIT to read some of these! Yipee!

Asher_Knight said...

MV series FTW. And yes, I read it, and it was awesome and it pissed me off BECAUSE NOVEMBER FEELS SO FARAWAY.

Asher_Knight said...

I don't know why either BUT I'M GLAD YOU ARE NOW! <3

Asher_Knight said...

HEHE. THANKS, LEA. I love doing IMM vlogs because they do bring out my excitement. I can't help but bubble over with it! AND YES. You must be on the lookout for Tiger Lily. I read a chapter and I'm hooked and sunk.

YOUR VLOG WAS AWESOME. Thanks for stopping by!

Asher_Knight said...

Yes, the bookstore is wonderful and completely catered to Children/Young Adult books and most walls have pre-signed copies so it IS AWESOME. I'm just really happy to have all these books to put up in my shelf. Makes me all happy and pumped. The Near Witch, judging by what you read and like from your blog, I think would be perfect for you. I think you'd be among the people to really get it and appreciate it like I did. It feels like a bedtime story you've never heard of but has that feel all the same. The writing is dreamy and soft, and the moral is there as well. I'll be posting my review in a couple of weeks for Silence so look out for that, and maybe I'll convince you to rush over and do that!

Asher_Knight said...

Hey there, Patience. The first chapter of Tiger Lily is  KILLER. I'm in love and it's killing me that I have to wait!

Asher_Knight said...

Tiger Lily is already awesome and I only read one chapter. And Shadow and Bone is SO getting read this week as well. And that's the whole reason why I love partaking in IMM. Any slumpiness I have coming on just vanishes when I watch and read all these posts. :D

Asher_Knight said...

The signing was absolute amazing! I enjoyed every bit of it even while I was terrified and stuttering through conversations. And I think the whole point of IMM is to get excited for books so I feel like I did a good job because you DID get excited :D

Thanks for stopping by!

Asher_Knight said...

Hello! And I do. They've been a lot of fun to read through and pet. :D

Asher_Knight said...

Isn't it? You BETTER be Team Tucker, Giselle, or else. And Shadow and Bone, like I've been saying, IS SO GETTING READ THIS WEEK IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY. Too much good buzz to ignore the awesomeness of it. And thank you! <3

Asher_Knight said...

There NEEDS to be a moment of silence when Penguin thinks of Asher Knight when giving up a copy of the latest in the Morganville series! I would like to go next week, but I'm tapped out of cash. Bummer. It would've been nice meeting another blogger. You're going to me Tahereh Mafi, Lauren Oliver, Anna Carey, and Veronica Rossi? If you are, SO JEALOUS. But i'm grateful I got to go the festival at least :D

Kristan said...

I wish there was a way to have known you were at the NYC teen author festival too! I would have totally said hi! It was absolutely amazing though and I did spend waaaaay too much money, but of course, books are so worth it when you can get them signed =) We'll have to plan out the next book signing a bit better.

Do you live close to NYC? There's another event at BoW coming up with Lauren Oliver, Tahereh Mafi, Veronica Rossi, and Anna Carey. I was thinking about going to that one as well, but I'm not sure yet.

Kristan @ Lost Amongst the Shelves

Angie @ Beneath the Jacket said...

I. AM. SO. JEALOUS. GIRL. I wish I still lived in NYC so I could have gone to the Books of Wonder event!! I'm trying to move back though, so they could have waited. ;P I agree, Jess Rothenberg in all her glory is fabulous. And I'm currently planning an event with Stephanie Perkins, Nina LaCour, Gayle Forman, and Marie Lu so I'll get to meet Stephanie too! So excited for that, especially after your (wonderful) reaction. You did have a great week and you try to keep that smile on your face as long as you can. You deserve it!

And thank you for your vote of confidence for my first vlog! I'm SO GLAD you liked it!! I'll try to do one again for next weeks.

Michelle Chew said...

Go Tucker!!! <3 <3 <3

Signings here are extremely rare... But I can still hope. :D

Asher_Knight said...

I KNOW. I'm always anxious to meet new bloggers despite my spazz-attack behavior at this first one XD And I expected way more than I thought I would, so that was a surprise. And my dad was there, so he sprung for some of them. I TOTALLY GET WHY people like getting things signed now. I always like the idea, but never actually had many things signed. Now, that I've gone to signings and experienced it for myself, I understand why it's so fun and wonderful and important.

I live in NJ, which is like a half hour away. I WANT to go to this upcoming signing to meet Lauren and Tahereh and Veronica, but I'm tapped out of dinero, yo, so I'm stuck this one time. Next time, I guess ;)

Asher_Knight said...

YOU'RE JEALOUS OF ME WHEN YOU GOT ALL OF THAT BOOKISH GOODNESS IN YOUR MAILBOX?!? Books of Wonder is such a beautiful place and perfect for YA lovers, so definitely check it out if you ever get back. JESS ROTHENBERG was super duper nice. Hehe. Meeting Stephanie put me in a good mood for a solid forty eight hours!

Your vlog was WONDERFUL. Love the honesty, the bloopers, AND THE DANCE. Mega awesome stuff. DO IT AGAIN. SOON.

YES. I DID. And it makes me so happy to see it there and know I can reach out and read it immediately. I loved the first chapter so I can't wait to see what's next! Kissing Shakespeare sounds wonderful as well, so I'm expecting good things.

Thanks, you awesome blogger, and for stopping by!

Oh, Asher, you KNOW how I feel about Catastrophic History... and signed.. SIGNED! Oh! And you got Black Dawn! So you don't have to hate all us Aussies anymore! SO intrigued by Blood and Bone! Eeee! Happy reading! xx

Asher_Knight said...

I KNOW. I am so happy to own it and HAVE IT SIGNED. My heart exploded. YOU KNOW MORGANVILLE, Have you read it? It's very important how you answer me, Sarah, because Brodie admitted she hadn't -__-  Shadow and Bone is AMAZEBALLS, pure perfection and totally a Special Shelf book. EVERYONE and their grandmother should read this book!

Sarah (saz101) said...

Hummmm.. will you hurt me if I admit I've not?

Because... I've not read Morganville. I HAVE read a Morganville short story, and I've been wanting to read them ever since. It was in the Many Bloody Returns anthology.

Err... I do have books 1-4 waiting at home, along a combined 7-8? Maybe I should... uh... get on that? *runs and hides*
